Book Camp in Yerevan - reading promotion activities for children from the border regions of Armenia

Over the past two years, IBBY Armenia, with the support of Yamada Fund and local organizations, has established reading corners for several border communities and organized reading promotion activities for local children and young adults. The Book Camp in Yerevan seeks to extend these reading promotion activities into the summer months, June to August 2022, when children are not in school. Amongst the planned activities were reading activities for two age groups 6-9 years old and 10-13 years old, offer master classes with a writer and illustrator, organise mental games and creative quizzes and offer cultural visits to a book factory, the Matenadaran museum and the National Children’s Library.
