IBBY-Yamada 2012: Ghana

This workshop was designed to discover and train the most promising illustrators in Ghana.  A group of twelve illustrators were identified to take part in a ten-day residential workshop with well-known Ghanaian writer and illustrator Meshack Asare.  The 2010-winning story of the Golden Baobab Prize was used as a basis for the workshop. The story, Diki, the Little Earthworm, was written by the Zimbabwean author, Mirirai Moya. The workshop was completed and the resulting artwork was displayed in an exhibition.
