Background
The Zimbabwe section of IBBY was formed in January 2008 and admitted as a National Section in march 2008.
The activities of the section include:
1. Running workshops and semonars on reading promotion and story-telling
2. Development of school libraries
3. Running reading promotion programmes in schools
4. Book donations
5. Establishing book-box libraries in schools
6. Establishing container libraries in schools (Planned project for 2010)
7. Advocating for the promotion and development of Children's literature in Zimbabwe
8. Promoting the aims and objectives of IBBY
