IBBY-Yamada 2011: Peru

This project is a continuation of an existing project that supports pre-school children attending day-care centres in an extremely poor, rural province in the Andes, Huancavelica. The project trains mothers in the field of language development, health and nutrition through the use of books and toys at the day-care centres. Over 600 children under the age of six have benefited from the project and manuals have been produced to encourage and continue the work.
